### Suitability is individual

Assessment reviews organ function, chronic conditions, infections, medicines and future health risks. Kidney donation and partial liver donation differ in operative risks and recovery. Another donor’s good outcome cannot establish your own suitability.

### Consent must be voluntary

Discuss family or financial pressure confidentially with the donor team. Understand alternatives, the centre’s withdrawal process, time off work, recovery and costs. Donation cannot guarantee a successful recipient outcome.

### Follow-up belongs in the decision
