## About this service

Shoulder arthroscopy uses a camera and instruments through small incisions to inspect or treat a specific problem, such as selected tendon injuries. It is not appropriate for every painful shoulder.

## Shoulder arthroscopy: purpose and rehabilitation

Shoulder arthroscopy uses a camera and instruments through small incisions to inspect or treat a specific problem, such as selected tendon injuries. It is not appropriate for every painful shoulder.

The surgeon relates examination and imaging to the proposed procedure and clarifies whether inspection or repair is planned. Restrictions after tendon repair differ from other procedures.

Small incisions do not mean immediate recovery or no risk. Ask for a sling, movement, rehabilitation and return-to-work plan matched to the actual operation.
