How to book
- 1. Pick a doctor below: each profile shows the declared Friday shift.
- 2. Call before you go — hours change on holidays and some clinics work by appointment only.
- 3. For severe or sudden symptoms do not wait for a clinic: call 911.
Seeing an orthopedic doctor on Friday
Patients often put off back, knee and shoulder pain because of work, study or childcare, which makes evening and Friday orthopedic clinics useful, as Friday is the main weekly day off in Jordan. This page relies on the hours each doctor declares, so call before you go to confirm the shift and whether X-rays are available.
Fine for an evening or Friday visit
- Long-standing back, neck or knee pain without new weakness or numbness.
- A twisted ankle with mild swelling that you can still walk on.
- Follow-up of a fracture in a cast, or a check after bone surgery that is going normally.
- Morning joint stiffness, or shoulder or heel pain that keeps returning with movement.
Go to the emergency department instead
- An obvious deformity, bone showing through the skin, or being unable to move a limb after a fall or accident.
- Numbness, coldness or paleness in a hand or foot, or pain that keeps rising under a cast.
- Back pain with loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness around the genitals, or new weakness in the legs.
- A hot, swollen joint with fever, or calf pain followed by sudden breathlessness: call 911.
Tips
- Call ahead to confirm the shift and ask whether the clinic X-ray unit is working at that time.
- Bring previous X-rays and MRI scans on a disc or in print, together with their reports.
- Wear loose clothing so the joint is easy to examine, and ask about nearby parking if walking is hard.
General information only; it does not replace a medical consultation.
