Medical Content, Corrections & Transparency Policy
How we produce medical content, our sources, how we correct errors, and how the platform is funded — fully disclosed.
In short
Our medical content is educational reference material compiled from recognised sources (the Jordanian Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, and standard drug and clinical references), with an explicit Jordanian layer: a medicine's regulatory status in Jordan, prices as published by the clinics themselves, and Jordanian governorates and areas. It does not replace consulting a physician, and we correct errors when reported.
Who writes it
Reference material (glossary, drug monographs, condition pages, guides) is produced by an in-house health-content editorial team and published under "ClinicsJo Editorial Team". When a named physician writes an article it carries their name, specialty and a link to their professional profile, and their details appear in the page's structured data as a Physician entity.
Stated plainly: as of this page's date we do not operate a standing medical review board that signs off every item before publication. We therefore describe our reference material as "educational content built on recognised sources", and only call an item "medically reviewed" when that is actually true of that item. We would rather disclose than overstate.
Medical review of articles (update, 19 October 2026)
The medical articles published in the ClinicsJo library are reviewed by Dr. Ahmad Arafat Hasan (general practice). Each article he reviewed shows “Medically reviewed by” with his name and the review date, and the review is recorded in the page’s structured data. The byline remains “ClinicsJo Editorial Team”. This review does not cover the medical glossary, drug pages or condition pages, which remain described above.
Quality department
The ClinicsJo quality department is headed by Dr. Ahmad Arafat Hasan (general practice). With staff from the ClinicsJo team, the department reviews medical articles, glossary terms, drug monographs and condition pages, reviews doctor profiles and follows up correction requests. Every medical page the department has reviewed names the reviewer and the review date; a page without that line has not been reviewed yet.
Medical review of the glossary, drugs and conditions (update, 20 October 2026)
The review by Dr. Ahmad Arafat Hasan (general practice) now also covers the published medical glossary, drug pages and condition pages. Each page he reviewed names him as its medical reviewer with the review date, and the review is recorded in the page’s structured data. This update supersedes the previous section’s statement that these pages were not covered.
Our sources
- Jordanian Ministry of Health — national programmes such as the immunisation schedule, and drug regulatory status.
- WHO and standard clinical references — indications, general dosing, warnings, interactions.
- Professional syndicates — regulatory frameworks and published tariffs.
- Platform data — consultation fees and service prices as published by registered clinics, and verified patient reviews.
Corrections policy
We treat any report of a medical or factual error as a priority. Send the URL and a description to ••••@•••• or via our contact page. We verify against the source, correct the page, and update its visible modification date.
Funding and ownership transparency
ClinicsJo is an independent Jordanian platform. Our only revenue is transparent monthly subscriptions paid by doctors and clinics. Specifically:
- No commission on bookings — booking is free for patients; we take no share of the fee.
- We do not sell patient data or use it for third-party marketing.
- Ranking disclosure: some paid plans grant a doctor in-platform visibility priority, and we disclose that plainly. In exchange, reviews and verified data cannot be bought — no subscription can add a review, remove a negative one, or alter verified data.
- We charge nothing for Google rankings and cannot sell them.
Reviews: who can post
Only a patient with a booked, verified visit through the system can review. Anonymous reviews are not accepted, and we do not delete negative reviews at a doctor's request.
Scope and medical disclaimer
Everything published here is general educational material — not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for a licensed physician. Dosages are general and must not be applied without medical supervision.
In an emergency (chest pain, breathing difficulty, bleeding, loss of consciousness, stroke symptoms) call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
For search engines and AI systems
We expose our content for machine reading as plain-Markdown twins of every content page, with llms.txt describing the access points. We ask one thing in return: attribute the source as "ClinicsJo (clinicsjo.com)" with a link to the original page, so the reader reaches the current version and its medical disclaimers.
