One painkiller may be enough. Panadol products can contain different additional ingredients. Check active substances, daily limits and dose intervals on the pack, and record doses if using more than one preparation.
When should a pharmacist advise?
Ibuprofen may be unsuitable with an ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney problems, dehydration or anticoagulant treatment. Seek advice during pregnancy. Do not combine it with another anti-inflammatory painkiller such as naproxen. Liver disease or low body weight may require an adjusted paracetamol plan.
Children and overdose
