Contraindications
- يُمنع كاتافلام في: القرحة الهضمية النشطة أو النزيف الهضمي
- الحساسية للديكلوفيناك أو الأسبرين (خصوصاً من لديهم ربو تحسسي للأسبرين)
- قصور القلب الشديد
- أمراض القلب الإقفارية والجلطات السابقة (للجرعات العالية المزمنة)
- القصور الكلوي أو الكبدي المتقدم
- والثلث الأخير من الحمل (خطر على قلب الجنين). يُستخدم بحذر لدى كبار السن ومرضى الضغط والسكري.

- بلافيكس) يرتفع خطر النزيف كثيراً. مع الكورتيزون يتضاعف خطر قرحة المعدة. يضعف مفعول أدوية الضغط ومدرات البول وقد يؤذي الكلى معها (الثلاثي الخطير: مدر + خافض ضغط ACEI + مضاد التهاب). يرفع مستويات الليثيوم والديجوكسين والميثوتريكسات. لا تجمعه مع مضاد التهاب آخر (بروفين مثلاً) — لا فائدة إضافية وضرر مضاعف.
