What are dental implants, and how long does treatment take?

ClinicsJo Editorial Teamاقرأ بالعربية3 views

Dental implants replace missing teeth: a fixture is placed in the jawbone to support a crown or another suitable restoration. Oral health, bone condition and general health must be assessed before deciding whether implants are appropriate.

A plan generally involves examination and imaging when needed, implant placement, healing and fitting the restoration. Implant healing may take several months or longer, and additional procedures can change the schedule. “Same-day implants” does not mean that healing is complete that day.

Ask about each stage, temporary and final teeth, daily care and follow-up. Tell the dentist about chronic conditions, medicines and smoking, and report an implant that becomes loose or painful. Start with dentists in Jordan.
