How long does orthodontic treatment take?
Orthodontic treatment duration depends on the tooth and jaw problem and the treatment plan, not simply the name of the appliance. Fixed braces may remain in place for one to two years in common treatment plans, but your case may require a different schedule determined after assessment.
Assessment includes examining the teeth and jaws and may involve photographs, X-rays or digital scans. Ask about the expected duration, review appointments and factors that could delay completion. Do not assume clear aligners are always faster than metal braces.
After braces are removed, a retainer is usually needed to maintain tooth position as instructed. Keep teeth clean, attend reviews and contact the clinic if the appliance breaks or pain persists. Find a suitable specialist through dentists in Jordan.
