How effective is a thread lift, and can it replace facelift surgery?
A thread lift may offer limited improvement for selected laxity, but generally does not match surgical results or stop ageing. Durability varies and the outcome may not meet expectations. Selection, practitioner expertise and follow-up matter more than promises of a quick lift.

Understand the procedure
Threads are placed beneath the skin to support tissues. Small entry points do not remove the need for sterile technique and medical assessment. Ask about thread type, placement, complication management and alternatives.
What problems can occur?
Bruising, swelling and pain may occur, as can uneven lifting, dimpling, palpable or visible threads, infection or a need for removal. Do not pull or cut an exposed thread yourself; contact the treating team.
Assess results and follow-up
Follow activity and skin-care instructions while swelling settles and arrange review of the actual improvement. Spreading redness, discharge, fever or increasing pain needs assessment. Discuss possible repeat procedures and costs without assuming a guaranteed one- or two-year result.
