How we chose this list

Every matching clinic profile in this country was scored out of 100 for how complete and checkable its published information is, and the highest scores appear here in order. Featured placement does not change a profile's score, and the score does not measure treatment quality or outcomes — it tells you how much you can check before you call. Profiles marked “Featured” are shown first, in the display order set by the platform administration.

When do you need a tooth extraction?

Dentists generally try to save a natural tooth first, using a filling, a crown or root canal treatment. Removal is usually considered when a tooth cannot be repaired or keeping it would cause more harm. Common reasons include:

  • Decay or a fracture so extensive that the tooth cannot be restored.
  • Infection that does not respond to other treatment.
  • Advanced gum disease that has loosened the tooth.
  • Wisdom teeth that are impacted (trapped under the gum or bone) and causing pain, repeated infection or damage to neighbouring teeth.
  • Broken roots left behind after an old fracture or extraction.
  • Teeth removed as part of an orthodontic or prosthetic plan.

Book a dental visit if you have toothache that keeps coming back, pain when biting, a tooth that feels loose, swollen or bleeding gums around a back tooth, or a bad taste that will not go away. Only an examination, usually with an X-ray, can show whether extraction is needed or whether another option is possible.

Warning signs that need urgent care

A dental infection can spread. Seek emergency care straight away, or call 911 in Jordan, if you have any of the following:

  • Facial or neck swelling that is spreading.
  • Swelling that affects breathing or swallowing.
  • Difficulty opening your mouth.
  • A high temperature with a swollen face.
  • Bleeding after an extraction that does not stop after firm pressure on gauze for a sustained period.
  • A serious injury to the face or jaw.

How to choose among the clinics here

All nine profiles publish tooth extraction, so the useful differences are practical:

  • Type of extraction. Some profiles list a general "tooth and molar extraction" service. Others separate simple extraction from surgical removal of impacted teeth, or list wisdom tooth and retained-root extraction. If an X-ray already shows an impacted wisdom tooth, ask whether the clinic handles surgical removal or would refer you on.
  • Imaging. Most profiles list dental assessment with imaging, and one names panoramic and periapical radiographs. Ask whether X-rays are taken on site.
  • Who treats you. Check the dentists linked to each profile. Where years of experience are published, they appear in the entry. Ask who will carry out your extraction.
  • Children. If the patient is a child, look for profiles that list children's dental care or a pediatric dentist.
  • Location and hours. The clinics are spread across Amman districts, including Tabarbour, Fifth Circle, Marj Al-Hamam, Jubaiha, Sweifieh, Jabal Al Taj and Khalda. Thursday hours vary, and one clinic opens until 22:00. After an extraction you may not feel like a long drive, so a nearby clinic has real value.
  • Insurance. Several profiles list insurers. Match these against your own policy before booking.

There is no single answer to which are the best tooth extraction clinics in Jordan for everyone. The right choice depends on your tooth, your health history, your location and your cover.

What to expect at the first visit

A first appointment usually starts with an examination and often an X-ray. The dentist then explains whether the tooth can be saved, why removal is advised, and how the procedure would be done. A straightforward extraction is commonly done under local anaesthetic. Surgical removal of an impacted tooth may need a longer appointment.

Before you go

  • Bring a list of all your medicines, especially blood thinners, medicines for bone conditions such as osteoporosis, and any recent courses of treatment. Do not stop any medicine on your own; ask the dentist and your doctor first.
  • Tell the dentist about diabetes, heart conditions, bleeding disorders, allergies, pregnancy, or radiotherapy to the head and neck.
  • Bring any previous dental X-rays and your insurance card or ID.
  • Eat a light meal beforehand unless you are told otherwise, and plan how you will get home.

Questions worth asking

  • Is extraction the only option, or could root canal treatment or a crown work?
  • Is this a simple or a surgical extraction, and how long will it take?
  • What should I do in the first 24 hours afterwards?
  • What are the options for replacing the tooth later, if needed?
  • Who do I contact if something feels wrong after hours?

After the extraction

General guidance usually includes the following:

  • Bite on gauze to control bleeding.
  • Avoid vigorous rinsing, spitting and drinking through a straw for the first day, so the blood clot can settle.
  • Avoid smoking, which raises the risk of a painful "dry socket".
  • Eat soft food.

Follow the instructions your own dentist gives you. Contact the clinic if pain worsens after a few days or a bad taste develops.

Insurance, fees and booking: what to ask before the appointment

None of the nine profiles publishes a consultation fee, so ask directly when you book. Useful questions:

  • Is the examination charged separately from the extraction?
  • Are X-rays included or charged separately?
  • Does a surgical extraction cost more than a simple one?
  • Does my insurer cover extraction at this clinic, and is pre-approval needed?

Insurers listed on these profiles include Arab Orient Insurance, NatHealth and Med Service — The Specialized Company. A listing does not guarantee that your particular plan covers the procedure, so confirm with both the clinic and your insurer. Also ask about cancellation rules, and whether a follow-up check is included.

Getting there

All nine clinics are in Amman, and each profile states its own district and building. Before you set out:

  • Check the exact complex name and floor in each entry, since several clinics are inside commercial complexes.
  • Allow time for traffic and parking, especially around Fifth Circle, Sweifieh and Tabarbour at busy hours.
  • Arrange for someone to drive you home if you expect a surgical extraction or feel anxious about the procedure.
  • If you are visiting Jordan, choose a clinic near where you are staying, because you may need a follow-up visit.

Checklist before you book

  • Confirm the clinic performs the type of extraction you need (simple, surgical or wisdom tooth).
  • Ask who will treat you and whether X-rays are done on site.
  • Check the confirmed hours, especially Thursday, and whether the clinic opens on Friday.
  • Verify insurance coverage and whether pre-approval is required.
  • Ask about the fee for examination, X-rays and the extraction itself.
  • Prepare your medicine list and medical history.
  • Bring previous X-rays and ID or your insurance card.
  • Plan transport home and soft food for afterwards.
  • Know the warning signs that need urgent care, and remember 911.

How much does Tooth Extraction cost in Jordan?

No clinic on ClinicsJo has published a price for Tooth Extraction yet, so we do not quote an estimated figure. What is published is the consultation fee: free consultation (profiles: 1); 10–10 JOD (profiles: 7). The doctor sets the treatment price after assessing your case.

What clinics and doctors have published on ClinicsJo

Other doctor profiles with a published fee: 3.

What sets the price of Tooth Extraction?

  • The number of teeth treated
  • The material or system used (implant, crown, filling or brace type)
  • Imaging needed beforehand (panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan)
  • Accompanying procedures such as anaesthesia, extraction or bone grafting
  • The number of sessions and follow-up visits

How to ask about the price

Before booking, ask the clinic for the all-inclusive price and what it covers, any extra tests or scans, how many follow-up visits are included, the payment options, and whether your insurance is accepted. You can reach them through the contact details on the doctor and clinic profiles on this page.

The figures above were published by the clinics and doctors themselves on ClinicsJo and may change. We do not estimate prices. Confirm the all-inclusive price with the clinic before booking. Offers on ClinicsJo

Frequently asked questions

How was this list of tooth extraction clinics chosen and ordered?
Every clinic here publishes tooth extraction as a service on ClinicsJo. Out of 20 matching profiles, nine are shown, ordered by a 100-point profile-completeness score. The score covers platform verification, approved reviews, description, photos, services, linked doctors, insurers, confirmed hours, map location, years since establishment and an official website. Featured profiles are shown first with a badge. The order does not measure treatment quality or outcomes.
Is tooth extraction painful?
Extractions are usually done under local anaesthetic, so you should feel pressure rather than sharp pain during the procedure. Some soreness and swelling afterwards is common and usually eases over a few days. Your dentist will advise on pain relief suited to your health. Contact the clinic if pain worsens after several days, and seek urgent care if swelling spreads or affects breathing or swallowing.
What is the difference between a simple and a surgical extraction?
A simple extraction removes a tooth that is fully visible in the mouth, usually with instruments that loosen and lift it. A surgical extraction is used for teeth that are impacted, broken at the gum line or have difficult roots. It may involve a small cut in the gum or removing some bone. Ask the clinic which type your case needs after an examination and X-ray.
Do I need to remove my wisdom teeth if they do not hurt?
Not necessarily. Mainstream guidance, including the NHS, does not recommend removing healthy wisdom teeth that cause no problems. Removal is usually considered when they cause repeated infection, pain, decay, or damage to nearby teeth. A dentist can assess their position on an X-ray and explain whether monitoring or removal makes more sense for you.
Does insurance cover tooth extraction at these Amman clinics?
Some profiles list insurers such as Arab Orient Insurance, NatHealth and Med Service — The Specialized Company. Coverage depends on your specific policy, so call your insurer and the clinic before booking. Ask whether extraction and X-rays are covered, and whether pre-approval is needed. None of the listed profiles publishes a consultation fee, so confirm costs directly.
When should I go to emergency instead of a dental clinic?
Call 911 or go to emergency care if you have facial or neck swelling that is spreading, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a high temperature with facial swelling. Go also if bleeding after an extraction will not stop with firm pressure, or if you have a serious jaw or facial injury. These can signal a spreading infection or another problem that needs immediate attention.
What should I tell the dentist before an extraction?
Tell the dentist about all your medicines, especially blood thinners and medicines for bone conditions. Mention diabetes, heart conditions, bleeding disorders, allergies, pregnancy and any past radiotherapy to the head or neck. Do not stop any medicine without advice from your doctor and dentist. This information helps them plan a safe extraction and the right aftercare.
Why do some profiles appear first?
Profiles marked “Featured” appear first, in the display order set by the platform administration. They are a featured placement, not a measure of clinical quality; the rest of the list follows the published profile score. A featured profile shown on a district page may practise elsewhere in Amman — check the address on its card.
