- 1. Pick a doctor below: each profile shows the declared evening shift.

Seeing a cardiologist in the evening
Many people with blood pressure or heart conditions are followed for years, and seeing a cardiologist in the evening or on Friday, the main weekly day off in Jordan, spares them time off work, study or childcare. This page relies on the hours each doctor declares, so call before you go to confirm, and remember that a clinic is no substitute for emergency care when you have chest pain.
Fine for an evening or Friday visit
- Follow-up of blood pressure, cholesterol or a known heart condition that is stable.
- Occasional brief palpitations without dizziness, fainting or chest pain.
- Reviewing ECG, echo or blood test results that the doctor requested earlier.
- A heart check before a planned operation or before starting an exercise program.
Go to the emergency department instead
- Chest pain or pressure lasting several minutes or spreading to the arm or jaw: call 911 and do not drive yourself.
- Sudden or severe shortness of breath, especially at rest or when lying flat.
- Fainting, or a fast heartbeat with severe dizziness or chest pain.
- Sudden weakness on one side of the body, a drooping face or difficulty speaking.
Tips
- Call ahead to confirm the shift and ask whether a stress test or echo is available in the evening.
- Bring your home blood pressure readings, the boxes of all your medicines and previous ECGs and reports.
- Allow time for traffic and parking so you do not arrive stressed, as stress can raise your blood pressure reading.
General information only; it does not replace a medical consultation.
