How to find an endodontist near you

  1. 1. Share your location or pick your area

Tap “Use my location”, or choose your governorate or district if you prefer not to share it. Distances are measured from that point.

  2. 2. Narrow the list

Keep only doctors available now or female doctors, and open a profile for qualifications, clinic address and accepted insurance.

  3. 3. Call, message or get directions

Every card shows the distance, and the profile has the contact options and a directions link to the clinic.

Before you choose an endodontist

A dentist turns to root canal treatment when the pulp, the nerve and blood vessels inside a tooth, becomes inflamed or infected through deep decay, a crack or a knock, with the aim of saving the natural tooth instead of extracting it. It is done under local anesthesia in one or more visits, and the tooth often needs a crown afterwards to protect it, so a nearby clinic makes it easier to finish the plan without delay. The list includes dentists who have added endodontics to their profile, so ask about their experience with complex cases and re-treatment.

Whether you searched for “root canal dentist near me”, “root canal treatment near me”, “endodontic clinic near me” or “endodontist near me”, this page lists the published profiles in Jordan and sorts them by distance from you.

When to see an endodontist

  • Pain from cold or heat that lingers for a while after the drink is gone, or throbbing pain that starts on its own for no clear reason.
  • Pain when biting or chewing on one tooth, or a tooth that feels taller than its neighbors and tender to touch.
  • A small pimple-like bump on the gum near a tooth that drains or keeps coming back, or swelling of the gum around a decayed tooth.
  • A tooth that has turned gray or dark after an old knock, even if it does not hurt.
  • Pain or infection returning in a tooth that already had root canal treatment, or a cracked tooth that gives a sharp pain when you bite and then release.

What to bring to your visit

  • A recent X-ray of the tooth and the referral note from your dentist if you were referred, with details of any earlier treatment on the same tooth.
  • If you have been told you need antibiotics before dental work because of an artificial heart valve or a past infection of the heart lining, or you have reacted to a local anesthetic or an antibiotic before, tell the dentist ahead of the visit.
  • Note which tooth hurts, what sets the pain off (cold, heat or biting) and how long it lasts, and which painkillers you took and when, as this helps pinpoint the affected tooth.
  • Eat a light meal beforehand since numbness can last a few hours afterwards, and ask how many visits to expect, when the crown will be fitted, and what to do if pain flares between visits.

When to go to the emergency department instead

  • Swelling under the jaw or in the floor of the mouth that lifts the tongue, or difficulty opening the mouth, swallowing or breathing: call 911 immediately.
  • Swelling around the eye or an eyelid closing because of an upper tooth infection, blurred vision or a severe headache needs urgent assessment in an emergency department.
  • High fever with chills and feeling clearly unwell alongside a tooth abscess, or swelling that grows quickly over a few hours: go to the emergency department.
  • Signs of a severe allergic reaction after taking a prescribed antibiotic or painkiller, such as swelling of the lips or tongue, wheezing or a widespread rash: call 911.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find an endodontist near me?
Tap “Use my location” at the top of this page and allow location access: the endodontists are re-sorted by distance from you, with the distance on every card. If you prefer not to share your location, pick your governorate or district instead.
Does ClinicsJo keep my location?
Your approximate location (rounded to about 100 metres) is only used to calculate distances for this search. It is not linked to an account and it is never added to the page address, so a shared link does not reveal where you are.
Where are endodontists listed in Jordan?
ClinicsJo lists 19 endodontists in 3 governorates. Most are in Amman (15), Aqaba (3), Jerash (1). Each governorate link below opens the full local list.
What if there is no endodontist close to me?
The search widens step by step (5, 10, 25, 50, 100 then 200 km) until it finds listings, and tells you how far it went. You can also pick a neighbouring governorate from the list.
Can I see who is available now?
Turn on “Available now” to keep doctors whose declared working hours include the current time in Amman. Hours are declared by each clinic, so call before you go.
Is root canal treatment painful?
Root canal treatment is done under local anesthesia, and many patients feel pressure rather than pain during it; it often relieves the pain that brought them in. The tooth may stay tender to bite on for a few days, which painkillers recommended by your dentist or pharmacist usually ease. Severe pain or swelling after treatment is a reason to call the dentist.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
Back teeth (molars and premolars) are usually advised to have a crown or a filling that covers the cusps after a root canal, because they take the force of chewing and become more likely to break. Front teeth can often be restored with a filling alone. A temporary filling does not last, so complete the final restoration on schedule to avoid a fracture or a new infection.
