Tap “Use my location”, or choose your governorate or district if you prefer not to share it. Distances are measured from that point.
2. Narrow the list

Every card shows the distance, and the profile has the contact options and a directions link to the clinic.
Before you choose an orthodontist
Orthodontic treatment corrects crowded, crooked or widely spaced teeth and bite problems, meaning the way the jaws and the upper and lower teeth meet, using fixed braces, clear aligners or removable appliances followed by a retainer. Treatment usually runs from several months to a few years with adjustment visits every few weeks, so a nearby clinic makes it far easier for students and working people to keep every appointment. The list includes dentists who have added orthodontics to their profile, so ask what training the dentist has in this field before you start.
Whether you searched for “braces near me”, “orthodontist nearby”, “clear aligners near me” or “orthodontist near me”, this page lists the published profiles in Jordan and sorts them by distance from you.
When to see an orthodontist
Crowded, overlapping or crooked teeth, or noticeable gaps that bother you or make the teeth harder to clean.
Bite problems: upper teeth that stick out a lot, a deep overbite, lower teeth sitting in front of the upper ones, a crossbite, or front teeth that do not meet when you close your mouth.
A first orthodontic check for a child at around age 7, or sooner if baby teeth are lost very early or very late, or thumb-sucking continues.
Difficulty biting or chewing, a jaw that shifts to one side when closing, or uneven tooth wear caused by the way the teeth meet.
Adults who want straighter teeth, need some teeth moved before implants or crowns, or whose teeth shifted again after they stopped wearing a retainer.
What to bring to your visit
A recent panoramic X-ray or other dental X-rays, any earlier orthodontic records, and your old retainer if you had braces before.
A check-up and cleaning with your regular dentist beforehand, since decay and gum inflammation are usually treated before braces go on.
Tell the orthodontist about your health conditions, medicines and any nickel or latex allergy, jaw pain or clicking, or mouth breathing and snoring in a child.
Write down questions about the options (metal, ceramic or clear), the expected treatment length, how often you will visit and which retainer follows, and ask your insurer whether and on what terms your policy covers orthodontics.
When to go to the emergency department instead
Swallowing or inhaling a piece of a brace or appliance followed by coughing that will not stop, choking or difficulty breathing: call 911 immediately.
A facial injury from sport or a fall with pain when opening the mouth, or teeth that suddenly bite differently, may mean a jaw fracture and needs emergency assessment.
Sudden swelling of the lips, tongue or throat with wheezing or breathlessness is a severe allergic reaction: call 911.
General information only; it does not replace a medical consultation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find an orthodontist near me?
Tap “Use my location” at the top of this page and allow location access: the orthodontists are re-sorted by distance from you, with the distance on every card. If you prefer not to share your location, pick your governorate or district instead.
Does ClinicsJo keep my location?
Your approximate location (rounded to about 100 metres) is only used to calculate distances for this search. It is not linked to an account and it is never added to the page address, so a shared link does not reveal where you are.
Where are orthodontists listed in Jordan?
ClinicsJo lists 32 orthodontists in 5 governorates. Most are in Amman (24), Aqaba (5), Irbid (1), Mafraq (1). Each governorate link below opens the full local list.
What if there is no orthodontist close to me?
The search widens step by step (5, 10, 25, 50, 100 then 200 km) until it finds listings, and tells you how far it went. You can also pick a neighbouring governorate from the list.
Can I see who is available now?
Turn on “Available now” to keep doctors whose declared working hours include the current time in Amman. Hours are declared by each clinic, so call before you go.
At what age should a child first see an orthodontist?
A first orthodontic check is usually advised at around age 7, when the first permanent molars and front teeth have come through and jaw growth can be assessed. This does not mean treatment starts straight away, as many children begin later once most permanent teeth are in, but some problems such as a crossbite are treated early. Adults can have orthodontic treatment at any age as long as their gums and bone are healthy.
Are clear aligners an alternative to fixed braces?
Clear aligners suit many cases, especially mild to moderate crowding and spacing, but they must be worn for most of the day and taken out only to eat and clean your teeth. Some complex tooth or jaw movements may still need fixed braces. The orthodontist will recommend an option after the exam and X-rays, so ask about the strengths and limits of each in your case.
