How to find an eye doctor near you
1. Share your location or pick your area
Tap “Use my location”, or choose your governorate or district if you prefer not to share it. Distances are measured from that point.
2. Narrow the list
Keep only doctors available now or female doctors, and open a profile for qualifications, clinic address and accepted insurance.
3. Call, message or get directions
Every card shows the distance, and the profile has the contact options and a directions link to the clinic.
Before you choose an eye doctor
An eye doctor diagnoses and treats eye diseases and vision problems, from infections, allergies and dry eye to cataracts, glaucoma and retinal conditions. Some eye diseases progress silently and need regular checks, so a nearby eye clinic makes routine follow-up easier and lets you be seen quickly if your vision changes.
Whether you searched for “ophthalmologist near me”, “eye specialist nearby”, “female eye doctor near me” or “eye doctor near me”, this page lists the published profiles in Jordan and sorts them by distance from you.
When to see an eye doctor
- Gradually blurred or weaker vision, or difficulty reading, seeing at night or driving.
- Redness, itching, discharge or constant watering, or a feeling that something is stuck in the eye.
- Dry, burning eyes that get worse with screen use or long hours under air conditioning.
- Regular eye checks if you have diabetes or high blood pressure, or a family history of glaucoma.
- A child who squints, holds things very close to the eyes, or is about to start school.
What to bring to your visit
- Your current glasses or contact lenses, and your latest glasses prescription if you have it.
- A list of the eye drops and medicines you use, plus reports from any previous eye surgery or tests.
- Arrange a companion or a lift home, since dilating drops can blur your vision for several hours.
- Your insurance card, and ask the clinic whether you should stop wearing contact lenses for a while before the visit.
When to go to the emergency department instead
- Sudden loss of vision, or sudden severe eye pain with headache and nausea: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
- Flashes of light with a sudden shower of new floaters, or a shadow or curtain across part of your vision.
- A chemical splash in the eye: rinse with clean running water for at least 15 minutes, then go to emergency care.
- A penetrating injury or a hard blow to the eye, or sudden double vision, needs emergency care without pressing on the eye.
General information only; it does not replace a medical consultation.
